Ghanaian Gosple Musician, Noble Nketsiah.
Gospel singer Noble Nketsiah recently shared a harrowing near-death experience tied to his fame in the music industry. During an interview with Emelia Brobbey on the Okukuseku Show on Adom TV, the “Yesu Do” singer revealed that some people in the gospel industry had tried to poison him.
Nketsiah recounted an incident in Obuasi, Ashanti Region, where he had a show. Before the event, he stopped by a radio station for an interview and was joined by other gospel artists. However, Nketsiah received all the attention from the callers, which made his colleagues jealous.
“I went for a programme in Obuasi. Before that programme, I went for an interview; I was very popular, so anyone who called on the show wanted to speak with me. My other colleagues in the industry, who were also at the radio station, became jealous because the callers didn’t acknowledge them,” he said.
After the interview, Nketsiah returned to his hotel and ordered a meal. While getting ready for the event, he heard a commotion outside his room. When he went to check, he found that a mentally ill person had thrown his food on the ground. In the chaos, Nketsiah noticed the food had changed color, leading him to believe it had been poisoned, and that the stranger had unintentionally saved his life.
“I went back to my hotel to prepare for the programme. I ordered food before going to freshen up. While I was in the bathroom, I heard noises in the hotel’s parlour. When I went out to see what was happening, I found that a mentally ill person had entered the hotel and thrown my food away. In the midst of the commotion, the color of my food changed. My food was poisoned,” he added.
