During a working visit to the company’s headquarters on Friday, Minister John Abdulai Jinapor expressed deep satisfaction with the company’s progress, describing the atmosphere at BOSTEnergies as “vibrant, professional, and forward-looking.”
“I was impressed by the renewed energy and strategic direction of the institution. I commend management for the dynamism and efficiency they have demonstrated since assuming office,” he said.
Dr. Jinapor also highlighted that the company’s rebranding from BOST to BOSTEnergies represents more than a name change — it signifies a national commitment to fuel security, efficiency, and sustainable operations.
“I applaud the team on their rebranding. It signals a deeper commitment to delivering fuel security across Ghana, a critical pillar of our economy and national development,” he added.

The Minister praised BOSTEnergies for establishing a Renewable Energy Department, calling it a forward-thinking step that aligns with Ghana’s Green Transition policy and international clean energy goals.
“I’m particularly encouraged by the creation of a Renewable Energy Department, which aligns with global best practices and supports the President’s vision for a cleaner energy future,” Dr. Jinapor stated.
He further encouraged the company to invest in infrastructure expansion, including new depots, pipelines, and distribution systems to strengthen supply reliability nationwide.
“BOSTEnergies remains central to Ghana’s energy security, and I look forward to seeing them lead with innovation and purpose,” he noted.
Dr. Jinapor reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting BOSTEnergies both technically and strategically, ensuring the company continues to thrive under the President’s clean energy vision.
“I remain fully committed to supporting BOSTEnergies technically, strategically, and at the policy level in line with President Mahama’s vision,” he concluded.
BOSTEnergies, formerly known as the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), is responsible for managing Ghana’s strategic petroleum reserves and ensuring efficient fuel distribution nationwide.
Its recent rebranding reflects a broader mission to incorporate renewable energy initiatives, strengthen infrastructure resilience, and enhance corporate governance.
Experts say BOSTEnergies’ transformation positions it as a key player in Ghana’s energy security architecture and a potential leader in sustainable energy integration.
With government backing and continued reforms, the company is expected to bridge fuel supply gaps and support the Energy Transition Plan that seeks to reduce carbon emissions by 2035.
