The management of a hotel in Anaji, Takoradi, where a KNUST graduate was found dead, has spoken out about the tragic incident.
Gabriel Paddmon Hackman, the manager, confirmed to Adom News that the mysterious death occurred at their establishment but declined to provide further details about the circumstances leading to the death of Lois Abena Koranteng.
The Petroleum Engineering graduate was allegedly on a business trip with her boss and a company driver when she checked into the hotel on June 7, 2024. She was found dead in a pool, wearing only underwear, at dawn on June 8, 2024.
Efforts to obtain more information have been unsuccessful, as the hotel claimed not to have functioning CCTV.
Hackman, who took over the management position after the incident, revealed that two hotel staff members were arrested in connection with the case and later granted bail. However, he refused to disclose the charges against the suspects or the conditions of their bail.
In an interview with Adom News correspondent Lord Tawiah, Hackman assured that the investigation is ongoing and expressed confidence that the police would make their findings public due to the high-profile nature of the case.
However, the victim’s family reported that no investigation has been launched nor any arrests made despite an official complaint lodged at the Anaji-Takoradi Police Station.
