Asantehene’s Maiden Visit to King Charles III Post-Coronation [Photos Below]

King Charles III warmly welcomed the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to Sandringham House in the United Kingdom on Tuesday. Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is in the UK to celebrate his Silver Jubilee. This visit marks the Asantehene’s first meeting with the King of England since King Charles III’s coronation in March 2023.
The Asantehene is also in the UK for a lecture at the British Museum. The visit took place at King Charles’ Sandringham residence, situated on a 20,000-acre estate in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
As part of his 25th Anniversary on the Golden Stool, the Asantehene will host the sixth Akwasidae Festival of the year in London on August 4, 2024.
During his working visit to the UK, he has engaged in discussions with the Victoria and Albert Museum, delivered a lecture at the British Museum, and celebrated the Awukudae festival.
The Asantehene departed Ghana on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
