Lone protester against corruption carried away by Ugandan police
A solitary protester, holding a sign that read “Corruption in the Parliament of Uganda,” was swiftly detained by the police, who carried him off in a manner described as being “like a sack of rice.” The protester passionately declared, “Corruption in parliament is at its peak. We are here to demonstrate because everything is corrupt. It is our duty to stand up.”

His protest was abruptly ended as police officers whisked him away, disregarding inquiries from journalists who sought his final statements.
A video captured the scene, showing the man being dropped into the back of a police truck with a loud thud before the vehicle sped off. The sound of laughter from the police officers could be heard as the truck departed, adding a troubling undertone to the already somber event.
