Major Traffic Disruption on Liberation Road After Car Fire
A significant traffic jam has occurred on Liberation Road near the Flagstaff House following a car fire. The incident, which unfolded near Afrikiko, involved a salon car that was engulfed in flames for several hours before the fire service arrived.
The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, although initial indications suggest that overheating may be responsible. By the time fire personnel arrived, the vehicle had been extensively damaged and was beyond repair. The driver was not present at the scene.
As a result of the blaze, the road leading from the Sankara Interchange to the 37 Military Hospital has been blocked. Traffic police are diverting vehicles from Akoa Adjei towards Afrikiko to manage the congestion.
The fire has caused severe traffic delays in the area, significantly affecting commuters. Authorities are currently working to clear the scene and restore normal traffic flow, while the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
