Tamale, Ghana – November 24, 2024 – In a heartwarming display of gratitude, graduating students of D.M. Sky and Construction Technical Institute embarked on a clean-up exercise in the Kakpagyili electoral area of Tamale South Constituency.
Led by Abdul Fatawu Zubaida, a glass fabrication student from Karaga in the Northern Region, the exercise involved removing choked gutters and beautifying the surroundings. Zubaida, one of the 22 students who graduated from the institution, expressed her gratitude to the institute for equipping her with valuable technical and vocational skills.

According to the CEO of D.M. Sky and Construction Technical Institute, Mr. Abdulai Rauf Damba, the institution has been working tirelessly to reduce social vices among youths in the Northern Region. To achieve this goal, the institute provides a three-month technical and vocational training program for young people in Tamale and other parts of the country.
The institution’s skill focus areas include glass fabrication, P.O.P and plasterboard, bio-toilet construction, and electrical wiring. These skills are imparted to both male and female students, empowering them to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society.

Over the past two months, the institution has graduated 43 students, including four ladies. The graduates have gone on to secure attachments or service opportunities with experts and former students trained in institutions across Tamale, Accra, Kumasi, and other regions.
Mr. Damba encouraged youths from Tamale and surrounding areas to take advantage of the institution’s training programs. He also appealed to the government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to support the institution in addressing its challenges, particularly in acquiring equipment to aid in teaching.
The institution currently awards a TVET certificate to students upon graduation, enabling them to pursue careers in their chosen fields.
