The body of a Grade 4 student has been discovered in a forested area near Odumasi in the Asante Akyem Central district of the Ashanti region. The deceased, known only as Kwaku, was found with a gunshot wound near the Odumasi gas filling station.
According to Kwasi Antwi, a family member, the child went missing from home on Monday evening. Despite extensive search efforts, he was not found until some residents came across his body.
Abigail Asante, the mother of the deceased, expressed her shock and disbelief to Adom News.
The body has been taken to Yawkwei Steward mortuary for an autopsy.
