Alan Kyerematen, an independent presidential candidate and leader of the Movement for Change, has called on Ghanaians to support his mission to end the long-standing political dominance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). This appeal comes as he prepares to host the highly anticipated “Mega Walk” in Kumasi.

The former Minister of Trade and Industry emphasized that the NPP and NDC have monopolized Ghana’s political landscape for too long, and their leadership has failed to meet the needs of the citizens. Kyerematen stated that both parties have focused on self-enrichment and benefiting their close allies, rather than fulfilling their promises to the people.

“We need a new direction, a new vision, and a new leadership that will put the interests of the people first,” Kyerematen said in a statement. “We need to break the duopoly of the NPP and NDC and create a new era of politics that is inclusive, transparent, and accountable.”

The “Afrafranto Mega Walk,” scheduled for Saturday, is expected to draw thousands of supporters from across the country, serving as a powerful demonstration of the people’s desire for change. Kyerematen hopes the event will showcase the growing support for his movement and reinforce his call for a new political era in Ghana.
