A young man has been found dead near a known ‘wee’ base at Berekum-Amangoase in the Bono Region, sparking fears and speculation among residents.
The unidentified deceased was discovered with multiple cuts and bloodstains on his body. He was also found naked, with only a polythene bag covering his private parts, and stones scattered around him—suggesting a violent attack.
Some residents who spoke to Adom News suspect that the man was a thief who was lynched after a failed robbery attempt. They expressed growing concerns over the increasing crime rate in the area.
The Assemblyman for the Amangoase Electoral Area acknowledged the troubling nature of the incident but stated that he could not confirm whether the deceased was indeed lynched.
Meanwhile, the police have transported the body to the morgue as investigations continue.
