Okuapemhene has expressed confidence that the solid foundations laid by the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration will continue under the Bawumia and Opoku Prempeh government. He praised the NPP flagbearer and his running mate for seeking the blessings and guidance of traditional and religious leaders before starting their political campaigns, highlighting their humility and respect for tradition.

He remarked that Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, known as Napo, should remain forthright and candid in his role as running mate to Dr. Bawumia. Okuapemhene emphasized that Napo’s royal background contributes to his humility and expects him to support Bawumia fully to achieve success.

The traditional leader commended President Akufo-Addo for his achievements and urged Napo and his team to highlight these accomplishments to garner significant voter support for the NPP in the upcoming elections.

Okuapemhene made these comments during a courtesy call from Dr. Prempeh at his residence in Akropong on July 25, 2024. He praised the initiative to integrate chieftaincy and religious leadership into the national development agenda, recognizing Dr. Prempeh’s acknowledgment of traditional rulers’ contributions to Ghana’s independence and the UP tradition.
