Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey says his current priority is enjoying his football, even as questions remain about his future with Arsenal.

Partey’s contract with the Gunners is due to expire at the end of June, and talks are ongoing regarding a possible extension. The 31-year-old has been a vital part of the Arsenal squad, contributing significantly during the 2024/25 season despite the club finishing without silverware.

Speaking to 3Sports, Partey addressed recent conversations surrounding his consistent availability:
“People are talking about my availability because I was fit all season. Every training session, every match, I gave my best. Injuries are part of the game, but this year I felt great,” he said.

Reflecting on what lies ahead, Partey emphasized that his happiness and well-being will be key factors in any decision he makes about his next move.

“The most important thing is being happy where you play,” he explained. “At this stage of my career, my next move must balance ambition, family, and security. I’m an Arsenal fan too, but it’s up to the club, my agent, and me to decide. For now, I just want to enjoy my football.”

Partey joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 and has since made 130 appearances, scoring nine goals. As his future remains uncertain, both the club and fans await clarity on whether the experienced midfielder will stay at the Emirates or move on to a new chapter.
